My Story

I and my husband Roger Smeltzer joined The Goddard Church in September 2020. We are both Ohio kids who were baptized as infants and brought up in the Methodist Church. Roger gifted me with three amazing step-children, their equally inspiring spouses, and 11 step-grandchildren. Wow! We love the Lord and we are grateful He has given us many others to love, here at The Goddard Church, in our adoptive state of Kansas, and beyond.

I am grateful that God designed me with a love of growth and development, evidenced by my own learning journey, which started with Bible School, Sunday School, and public-school classes…and continued through a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and two Master’s degrees: one in Educational Studies, Training and Development, the other in Practical Theology, Spiritual Formation.

I believe that each of us is uniquely made by God for a purpose, and I am grateful that He gave me a delight in journeying with others as the grow more fully into their unique, God-breathed designs. I have been blessed with a long career of doing just that as a corporate trainer/coach, supporting leaders and teams in fulfilling a common purpose of service to others; a Congregational Coach supporting churches in identifying their mission fields and living into their ministries, a Career Seekers Coach helping people find life-fulfilling work, a Spiritual Director guiding others in discerning their calling and offering their gifts in practical ways, and, currently, an Ordained Deacon and Discipleship Leader.
